We have had a group meeting and online discussions about the styling, amongst other aspects, and it is coming along well! I really like the clothes and colours which have been chosen and purchased by Fay and Sophie for the shoot. We are still going for the 'spectrum' idea, in which we are going to start with the model being styled to portray a child and youthful creativity and moving along through 'growing up' to become an adult after the eductaion process, who is structured and constrained within their job, only one answer is right, 9am-5pm mundanity, etc...
In terms of the shooting process, we will probably start with the model being the adult and working towards bcoming a child, for the ease of the make-up applicaation and hair styling. The youthful styling will have slightly brighter colours and more going on, which will be built up from the very natural and polished look of the adult aesthetic. As the building up of make-up and styling will be much easier than the selective removal of make-up!
Due to Fay and Sophie each spending rather a lot on the clothing so far, I have bought a pair of shoes for the shoot and will take them back afterwards as long as they are not damaged in any way.
We are all bringing accesories in gold and neutral tones, as well as patterns, to the shoot so we can mix and match at the shoot, to see what goes best with which garments and also what suits the model. Paola is 5 foot 11 inches, so the shoes that have been purchased are not extremely high, as this would make her look massive! The clothes have been bought for her waist measurements and to accomodate her height also.
