History timeline...to get the facts correct!

I know Photography is a visual course! However, it could be argued that all images need a context (unless you want them to be ambiguous)...in our case, we have a deep historial context which needs to be referenced carefully to be able to create 'correct' and hopefully, distinguished images...

So, here is a summary of the 14th to 18th Centuries...

Starting with the 14th Century:
Plantagenets - (1154 - 1399)
King Edward II 1307 - 1327
King Edward III 1327 - 1377
Richard II 1377 - 1399


15th Century:

The House of Lancaster - (1399 - 1461) and The House of York - (1461 - 1485)
Henry IV 1399 - 1413
Henry V 1413 - 1422
Henry VI 1422 - 1461, 1470 - 1471

King Edward IV 1461 -1470, 1471 - 1483
King Edward V 1483 - 1483
King Richard III 1483 - 1485
King Henry VII 1485 - 1509


16th Century:
The Tudors - (1485 -1603)
King Henry VII 1485 - 1509
King Henry VIII 1509 - 1547
King Edward VI 1547 - 1553
Jane Grey 1554
Queen Mary I (Bloody Mary) 1553 - 1558
Queen Elizabeth I 1558 - 1603


17th Century:
The Stuarts - (1603 - 1649) and (1660 - 1714)
James I 1603 - 1625
Charles I 1625 - 1649
Charles II 1660 - 1685
James II 1685 - 1688
William III 1688 - 1702 and Queen Mary II 1688 - 1694


18th Century:

Queen Anne 1702 - 1714 (Stewart family)
then: The House of Hanoverians - (1714 -1901)
King George I 1714 - 1727
King George II 1727 - 1760
King George III 1760 - 1820


so now to collect some images...so this blog does not become far too text heavy!
