interesting lighting effect

I love the modern but almost whimsical aesthetic that this paper form has throughtout the image. The paper gives off interesting shadows and shapes while the paper itself is shaped, influenced by origami and tesselation. This makes the image less logical and more 'numerical'. I just like how such a simple idea can be very effective.
The idea of including shaped/folded paper within a photoshoot is achievable, whether it be used in the background as a textural layer to the image or used in the foreground...maybe as a slightly transparent paper so if the model was stood behind it would give a silhouette effect? or the paper/fabric could be draped across the image in some way...
