More accesories for the shoot

Today, I met up with Steph in the city centre before going to the Fashion Photography Lecture. Whilst in town, we visited Starbucks to have a chat and catch-up about the plans for the shoot (we still find loads to plan and prepare for the shoot even though we talk numerous times a day!), we are both a liuttle apprehensive with the amount we need to do but we also feeel prepared and ready for the big day to arrive!

We have planned to have the shoot this Wednesday (16th) so in case we need to have a re-shoot we have time to book and shoot in the studio again, otherwise if we do not need to re-shoot *fingers crossed* we will have plenty of time for post production work and to write our personal evaluations.

Whilst in town, Steph had seen some false eyelashes in Debenhams that we have been looking for since Jade (make-up and hair stylist) suggested they would look good on certain models to accentuate their eyes and similarly their cheekbones. As they are also a contemporary accessory for most girls our age, if we get some more outrageous styles, they could be seen as futuristic and trend-setting.

Therefore, I purchased 3 sets of eye-lashes, seen below:

I love the gold flecks on these lashes, futuristic! As they are a bit quirkier than average
they could look good on Cat as I feel she is more likely to have the personality to 'pull these off'.

Jade suggested that we use this style of lashes on Jennifer, short on the inside of the eye
and long towards the outside, giving a 'wing/flick' effect, these will emphasise Jennifer's
big eyes to create a really nice feature.

Me and Steph also bought some jewellery in Topshop. Originally, we had the idea of using traditional, ornate and delicate jewellery to help reference the past along with the hair and just leaving the make-up to be futuristic. However, as we are just referencing the past rather than replicating the images, we thought about having more contemporary and furturistic style jewellery.

I bought these 2 pieces in Topshop:

These earrings are futuristic in the sense that they symbolise technology and how gadgets are always evolving to make our futures different to our past. I think these would suit Cat's quirky personality!

I think this collar looks like a futuristic take on the traditional collar pieces, such as lace ruffs and fabric pieces, which were worn in the historical centuries that we are referencing. It has a streamlined and almost 'chunky' aesthetic whilst also being delicate through the use of the bronze/gold thread thinly wrapped around the main metalwork while the small tonal beads also emphasis the delicacy of the piece.
I think this piece could really suit Jen, as she is going to reference the 15th Century, she will be wearing a fabric headpiece, therefore her hair will be simple, she will have a green and gold lace pattern on a section of her face plus futuristic bronze lips so this statement piece of jewellery could stand out and finish the photograph nicely.

Steph bought some chunky gold triangle earrings (which could also look good on Jen!) and a silver collar which could suit Cat's proposed look.
